Gray Fullbuster Dead?.... No Freakin' Way!

---> Spoiler Alert<--- If you haven't read Fairy Tail ch. 334 yet, you should read it first because this post contains a lot of spoiler.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, just this morning, I was all excited because tonight is Fairy Tail manga new chapter release. Just an hour ago, I was thrilled to read the new chapter. I was happy, I actually grinned like an idiot when Gray pushed Juvia and Meredy away from the shot because it showed that he cares about her.
 THEN, he told Juvia he had something to tell her.
Yes, I was literally jumping out of my bed. HE WAS GONNA CONFESS TO HER! or so I thought. =.= IT had to happen (thanks a lot Mashima). Some stupid dragon had to shoot toward Juvia's direction, and Gray then of course jumped in front of her and shove her away, while getting the shot himself.
Gray was shot while trying to protect Juvia. Juvia. You can look at it both ways. The major GruVia moment there, and the fact that Gray was shot big time there. The first shot was at his heart. The next few shots were on his body; his arm looked like it ripped, and blood was squirting out. And Juvia? Out of the question. T-T And finally, he was finished off with a shot in the head.
      It seems like this time, Hiro Mashima is really trolling all fans a major big time. Like, Gray Fullbuster is dead!? No way freakin' way. I refuse to believe this because there are so many, many reasons to why Gray cannot die. So, on the more logical terms, Ultear is acting fishy in this chapter. She was remorse for what she'd done before and thought that her sin is hard to be forgiven and get rid of. And what is Ultear's magic again? Yes right, Time Arc. It seemed like her Time Arc magic has the power to bring things back to life (like that time the tree on Tenroujima came back to life). And what is Gray to her? He's almost, almost like a brother to her because of their connection to Ul. Since she is trying to redeem herself, it seemed relevant that she will help him out; maybe at the cost of her own life? After all, the title of this chapter is "Sin and Sacrifice". The next chapter title is "The Time of Life", which leads to another more solid hypothesis. Ultear's magic is "time" and "life" as in either Gray's or her own life. The title could be the metaphor of this whole predicament.
It is most likely that Ultear will be able to help Gray, maybe with the cost of her own life. Gray will be fine; I believe  so. With this being said, I still have my own doubt and fear. What if Mashima-sensei tries to shock us for real? After all, he did kill Rena, who was the Juvia-figure in Rave. What if this time, he would kill Gray instead of Juvia? Yes, to be honest, I was worried that Juvia would end up like Rena because she looks like the kind to die while trying to protect her Gray-sama. But now, Mashima-sensei made it the opposite with Gray trying to protect Juvia instead. Many what if's came into my head, and I have my own fears, but I refuse to believe to believe that anything bad would happen to Gray. He'll be fine, somehow. He will be. Besides, he told Juvia he had
something to tell her. He didn't get to her, yet. And looking at his facial expression and the situation there, it must be something very important. Yes, I'm an obvious GruVia fan. ^^ I mean, why would Gray want to tell Juvia something in the middle of a fight, war even, if it's not something important like he said? Is it the long awaited moment when he finally say "the words"? For now, no one knows the real answer beside Mashima-sensei himself. If it's really that important, Gray would definitely be okay because he still have to tell whatever he wanted to tell her. Since he didn't have the chance to tell her, yet, he will come back alive and tell her. So rest assure, Gray will be fine ( I hope ><). Besides, this was a major improvement on GruVia. He saved her not once, but twice in just a few minutes. His first reaction to that shot was shoving Juvia aside so that she would be okay. Lyon was also there, but Gray was lightning speed. GruVia shippers, you know what this means? Yes, Gray really cares about Juvia's well-being; more than a nakama because he even reacted faster than Lyon, who boldly proclaims his love for her.
It was always obvious that Gray has a thing for her, and this confirms whatever doubt you might have about his feeling for her. Whatever happens in the next chapter, Gray will be fine. Or so I would like to believe. If not next chapter, it's sometime near the end of the arc. It's like placing a bet on Mashima-sensei's writing, and I bet on the good possibilities. Let's wait until next chapter, ne?
  1. Fake, Time Arc doesn't work on living/dead organisms and Tenroujima was brought back by the guy Erza owned (the one that beat Mira and Lisanna, Asuma I believe.) I do not want Gray to die, he's one of my favourite characters, but props to Hiro if he has the balls to kill off a loved and main character.
  2. Wrong.. Time arc DOES work on things but not on PEOPLE.
    Ultear restored the original tree to the way it was and Azuma transfromed into a tree, which paled in comparison to the Tenrou tree
    She even said herself Time Arc couldn't be used on people
    But she's used it on the Tenrou tree and on a stem and made it a tree when she confronted Natsu
  3. Agreed,
    I HATE Gray being dead, I TOTALLY love him *heartbroken* but I'd hate it even more if he's "revived" using some stupid illogical, unknown and totally overpowered excuse or skill ,..
    Time Arc is a No Go. But... he could try something with wendy...
    And, of course, there is this thing with the "time paradox" (that took place the very moment people from the future went back to the past to take dragons to the future to kill everyone,...) that can be used to "call him back to live" at some point (by avoiding that whole sh*t to happen..) but I still think the killing isn't done yet for fairytail..
  4. Okay, maybe not Time Arc then, my bad. But I still Ultear will be involved in this because by the way she acted, it was really fishy.
    1. maybe that, too. ^^ But I hope Gray will be okay, for Juvia's sake, too. She will definitely go wild next chapter.
    2. I think so too. It's an ice clone so that everyone (esp. Juvia) who loves him and witnessed his 'death' will be very angry and will have an adrenaline rush to beat the dragons/mini-dragons.
    3. shooting Gray in front of Juvia, nice move, mini-dragon.. =.= you won't survive the next 10 minutes..
    4. I believe ice clones breaks not bleed, and clearly the body that was shot bleed heavily.
  11. He really is gonna die...hate to say it, but yeah... he dies... It's one of the rules of anime. one important character has to die like many others.
  12. Or maybe Ultear knew a spell that would revive human life but in exchange, her life will be taken. o_O'
    Am i even on the right track herE? ahahah
  13. Mehhh. If he's dead, he's dead. Just look at it. He didn't see the shot coming that's why he shoved Juvia. So it must mean that he's not fast enough to counter or shield or reflect or whatever fucking way to avoid contact that brings harm to his body. Admit it folks. I'm just a nobody but just be real even though it's only a sheer of imagination. Accept.
    1. the attack was indeed really sudden to counterattack, but we don't know if he's really gone or not. ^^ I mean, anything can happen, and I hope it's the good ones..
  14. And I totally forgot one big important fact... >.< Lucy found her Future-self's diary, didn't she? Do you Mashima trolled everyone with this? Maybe, this is just what Future Lucy wrote and this "future" can be avoided? if he really did that, everyone was trolled major time here...
  15. This reminds me of Pain's invasion of Konoha from Naruto... They had a ridiculous amount of supporting and side character deaths and even threw in a couple of major ones, while keeping the Hokage alive (But in a coma) and all the main characters alive...
    Just so the reset button could be pressed and everyone would come back to life.
  16. don't worry gray will be ok
    there is a seven big dragons right
    juvia will cut down all seven balls of the dragons
  17. ^ ROFL
    Anyway, I really hope he isn't dead. Gray was the reason Juvia joined FT, if he dies she will have no reason to stay there, and it's weird to say ''Gray died by the hands of a few small weak dragons''. I hope he won't die, but IF he dies sometime, he should die with a bigger impact (my opinion.)
